'Eagle' has a unique treatment of romance and love: Actress Kavya Thapar

Kavya Thapar made her acting debut in 2018. She will soon be seen in 'Eagle', her biggest Tollywood project to date. To be released in theatres on February 9, the action entertainer has the 'Ek Mini Katha' actress in the role of a determined, sober woman who is fascinated by Sahadev, played by Ravi Teja.

"I was working for a Bollywood movie when I landed this project. I was fully exhausted that day. Karthik Ghattamaneni sir's narration convinced me that 'Eagle' is strong on content. Getting to do a Ravi Teja movie is a big opportunity. People Media Factory is an amazing production house. Even complex foreign schedules were handled smoothly," Kavya says.

The heroine reveals that the film has a unique take on love and romance, meeting international standards of making. "You can expect a new kind of romance. My character Rachana falls in love with Sahadev without having seen him even once," she says. "Her ambition is unconventional. She wants to make her family proud. Her journey has no direct contact with Sahadev yet he inspires her. In real life, I am energetic and hyper. Rachana, on the other hand, is calm and balanced. I'm not a method actor. Dialogues come to me naturally. I know the boundaries of my character and mold myself accordingly," Kavya says.

Shooting in Poland and London was like a vacation. "I took my mother to shoots. It was fun," she adds.

"Initially, there was a plan to include an energetic dance number involving Ravi Teja sir and me. But it was done away with because it didn't suit the script," Kavya reveals.

She describes the 'Dhamaka' actor as a friendly person who is so much fun to be with. "I was star-struck when I first met him," she adds.
