'Saindhav' has a unique flashback in terms of narrative style: Director Sailesh Kolanu

'Saindhav' hits the screens on January 13. In his latest interview, three-time director Sailesh Kolanu says that the film is larger than life without being all over the place. Despite it being an action drama, it is not padded by set pieces. Starring Venkatesh as the hero, the film is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli of 'Shyam Singha Roy' fame.

"About 70% of the film takes place at night," says the director of the 'HIT' franchise fame, adding that the screenplay is racy. The characters played by Tamil actors Arya and Andrea Jeremiah are glorified cameos in the movie. The character of 'Chi La Sow' fame Ruhani Sharma is in a similar zone.

On the other hand, the characters essayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui (as the chief antagonist) and Shraddha Srinath are there throughout. Siddiqui's villainism is expected to be compelling.

The director says that the backstory is not run-of-the-mill in 'Saindhav'. As someone who believes that the flashback has to propel the story forward, Kolanu has etched it in such a way that the pace remains unaffected.

The film's music is by Santhosh Narayanan. As a filmmaker who doesn't plan his moves in advance, Kolanu doesn't rule out the possibility of 'Saindhav 2' happening in the future.
