'Lal Salaam', a sports drama directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, will grace the theatres on February 9. Lyca Productions announced its release date today.
Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are its lead actors. Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, KS Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah are playing supporting/negative roles in this pan-Indian release. Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen in a "formidable" role. Moideen Bhai is the name of his character.
India's World Cup Cup-winning captain, the legendary Kapil Dev, will also be seen. "The film's teasers and promotional materials have garnered an overwhelming response from eager movie enthusiasts. Our film commenced its principal photography in March 2023, and its shoot was concluded in August 2023. The output is highly satisfying," the makers today said.
The film features music composed by the maestro AR Rahman. The cinematography is by Vishnu Rangasamy, while editing is by B Pravin Baaskar. The makers said that the film promises an exhilarating cinematic experience for all, "amplifying the excitement surrounding this much-anticipated sports drama".
