The teaser for 'Kanya Kumari' was released today digitally by Vijay Deverakonda. Geeth Saini of Anand Deverakonda's 'Pushpaka Vimanam' fame plays a naughty girl in this village-based comedy-drama directed by Damodara (again, of 'Pushpaka Vimanam'). The film stars Sree Charan Rachakonda as the male lead.
Produced by the director himself on Radical Pictures, the film is about an assertive girl who will eventually fall in love with her long-time acquaintance. She overtalks, works as a salesgirl, and comes from a middle-class family. In a way, her characterization is reminiscent of Nithya Menen's part in the recently released Kumari Srimathi' (web series).
From typical situations like a 'Pelli choopulu' scene and colloquial language, 'Kanya Kumari' appears to feature ingredients that are typically associated with female-centric comedies.
With music by Ravi Nidamarthy, the film has cinematography by Shiva Gajula and Hari Charan K. Edited by Naresh Adupa, its sound design is by Nagarjuna Thallapalli.
