'Guntur Kaaram': Mahesh Babu's fans must moderate their expectations

Soon after the song 'Oh My Baby' from 'Guntur Kaaram' was out on Wednesday, the fans of Mahesh Babu floated anti-Thaman trends on social media. They feel that the romantic number didn't live up to their expectations.

There is little doubt that Mahesh's fans have been extremely peeved with composer SS Thaman ever since the release of 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' in 2022. The film's background score was dull and the fanboys out there have been angry for failing to give the best for their favorite star after nailing it with 'Bheemla Nayak'. They feel that even 'BRO' had a decent score.

Mahesh's fans, probably, should temper their expectations. Not every song can be superlative. 'Dum Masala', the first song from 'Guntur Kaaram', was loved by most. The second song, 'Oh My Baby', is a small-scale duet between Mahesh and Sree Leela.

Mahesh's fans often miss Anirudh Ravichander, whose songs are highly overrated. It is his terrific background music that makes him special. When it comes to songs, Tollywood composers have had a better track record.

'Guntur Kaaram', directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S Radha Krishna (China Babu), will hit the screens on January 12, 2024.
