Rana Daggubati's 'Rakshasa Raja' to be made as a gangster flick

A film in the combination of the 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' duo has been announced. Actor Rana Daggubati and director Teja have reunited for a film titled 'Rakshasa Raja'. This one will be an out-and-out gangster flick. "The anticipation surrounding this project is further heightened by the promise of an enthralling blend of intense emotions, family drama, and a riveting exploration of the crime world," the makers said in a statement.

The first poster has been designed to convey the impression that the 'Baahubali' actor's character will be violent in this 2024 release. "Sporting Vibhoothi and Tilak, he looks ferocious here with a cigar in his mouth. There are two long-finger gold rings," the makers added.

Teja's previous film was 'Ahimsa', which starred Rana's brother Abhiram in the lead. The film was a colossal flop. Despite its fate, 'Rakshasa Raja' hasn't been shelved. It shows the confidence of Rana in Teja.

This is the first gangster outing from the 'Nuvvu Nenu' and 'Chitram' director. If this one becomes a hit, both the 'Rana Naidu' actor and Teja will be on a hat-trick.

Abhiram, meanwhile, got married recently. It was a destination wedding in Sri Lanka.
