Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan is busy promoting her debut work, 'The Archies', which will start streaming on Netflix on December 7. In a promotional interview, Suhana lauded Alia Bhatt for repeating an outfit on two occasions. In the celebrity culture, repeating an outfit is a big 'No'.
“Alia Bhatt wore her wedding saree for the National Awards event recently. I thought that was incredible and a much-needed message. She took a stand towards sustainability. If Alia can re-wear her wedding saree, we can also repeat an outfit for a party. We don't need to buy a new outfit," the daughter of the 'Pathaan' actor said, adding that sustainable clothing will help contribute to the biodiversity and environment.
Suhana's praises are laughable. "What these star kids need to understand is that they don't need to sermonize or preach every time they speak. Would be better for them to just talk about their film instead of waffling about repeating a dress to help 'biodiversity and environment'," opined Roopa B, a Twitter user. Netizens reminded Suhana that most Indians wear clothes hundreds of times as part of their regular life. "I am watching this lying on my bed wearing a 5-year-old T-shirt which I'm wearing for the 146th time. Thought I contributed nothing to society...glad to know I already did a lot," wrote Raghava, a film enthusiast.
