Dil Raju is preoccupied with producing big and small films. At this juncture, it has been rumoured by the Telugu-language print media that he will be launching an OTT platform. The fake news has been condemned by the producer's camp.
"We express our strong disapproval of the rumors concerning our producer, Mr. Dil Raju Garu, commencing an OTT platform. We request everyone to please refrain from spreading unverified information," a social media post from Sri Venkateswara Creations says.
Allu Aravind is the only Tollywood producer who is in the full-fledged OTT business. He is perhaps the only Indian producer who has been able to stay the course in the demanding world of the streaming business, where Telugu-language content has been in tight competition with global content streamed by the three giants - Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney Plus Hotstar.
Intuitively speaking, it is clear that Raju would stay away from the OTT business, considering that it demands huge investments in terms of salaries and production costs. It is said that Aha Video, run by the Allu family in collaboration with others, hasn't been making profits.
