'Tillu Square' has got a new release date. The film, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles, will hit the screens on February 9, 2024. The movie will clash with 'Yatra 2' at the box-office. "Tillu anna MASS is all set to blast the theatres with DOUBLE the FUN & DOUBLE ENTERTAINMENT from FEB 9th, 2024! (sic)," the makers today said on social media.
In his recent interview, producer S Naga Vamsi said that 'Tillu Square' is a bigger brand than 'DJ Tillu' and that he is in no hurry to release it in a hurry for the same reason. "When 'DJ Tillu' was released in February 2022, nobody knew about the character and the audience had no expectations from the movie. 'Tillu Square', on the other hand, is a household name. I want a solo release for the movie (to maximize the revenue). That's why I am waiting for the right date. Let me do it in a relaxed manner," the producer of 'MAD' and other hits said.
The new release date suggests that the makers want the film to cash in on the paucity of biggies post Sankranthi in 2024. Until Jr NTR's 'Devara', there won't be big releases that year.
