Director Vassishta Mallidi of 'Bimbisara' fame has said that his movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to be a fantasy entertainer with Disney-like features/elements that will engage the children the most. If true, the movie could also be turned into a franchise depending on the audience's response.
In his latest interview, Vassishta has ruled out that the UV Creations biggie has anything to do with 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari'. This clarification comes days after Vyjayanthi Movies publicly issued a legal notice saying that all intellectual property rights pertaining to the movie's (read 'Jagadeka Veerudu..') characters, plot points and other elements exclusively lie with it.
Chiru's new movie, set to go on the floors soon, will probably hit the screens for Sankranthi 2025. UV Creations is going to invest something like Rs 250 Cr on the project. Featuring multiple heroines and music by MM Keeravani, the untitled film is the most expensive one in Chiru's career. Since Chiru's big specatcles like 'Bhagdad' were shelved in the 1990s, his fans are hoping that this one will overcompensate for the lack of spectacle movies in Chiru's career.
