Telugu actors are obsessed with 'Pushpa', 'KGF' type films!

'Care of Kancharapalem' director Venkatesh Maha today commented that Telugu heroes he has met with to narrate stories have expressed the desire to do films that fall in the zone of 'Pushpa' and 'KGF'.

Speaking to a YouTube channel, the 'Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya' director said, "I once narrated a story to a popular actor. He told me he was looking at something like 'Pushpa'. Someone else told me he was looking at a 'KGF'-type movie. If I make such films, my individuality and personality as a filmmaker (with my own voice) would be lost."

Maha's words are another proof that 'KGF' is the most impactful film in recent years. In terms of setting a trend, it is a cut above 'Baahubali' and 'RRR'. That's because its vocabulary, narrative structure and treatment style can be imitated by any action filmmaker.

As for Maha, he awaits the release of 'Martin Luther King' on October 27. The film is a remake of the Tamil film 'Mandela'. Starring himself and VK Naresh as estranged siblings, the political satirical drama has Sampoornesh Babu in the role of a marginalized cobbler.
