Renu Desai chose the wrong film. Period.

Renu Desai stayed away from acting assignments for two decades after 'Johnny'. She was offered the bank officer's role in 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', but some individuals stopped her from doing that film.

The ex-wife of Pawan Kalyan finally did a film - it is Ravi Teja's 'Tiger Nageswara Rao'. Even though director Vamsee is a non-entity and there was no guarantee that he would make her role memorable, Renu accepted the film because her role was that of a social reformer. Hemalatha Lavanam is a real-life social reformer and Renu hoped that playing that part would make her look dignified on screen.

Director Vamsee's special abilities ensured that nobody remembers her role. Renu makes an entry only in the last 40 minutes or so in the tedious, tiresome, generic, dull film.

Renu made a blunder by choosing the wrong film for her re-entry. Her appearance is needlessly melodramatic in 'TNR'.

In a recent interview, the 'Badri' actress said that she would be doing a love story and a family drama next - not as an artist, but as a filmmaker. After that, she will be wielding the megaphone for a big-scale actioner.
