Did 'Jersey', 'SSR' make losses? Nani responds

Natural Star Nani was today at the trailer launch event of 'Hi Nanna' in Hyderabad. He was asked by a senior journalist about the gossip that 'Jersey' and 'Shyam Singha Roy', while being critically acclaimed, resulted in losses for some distributors.

The actor shot back by stating that it was a social media-driven rumour. "Let social media do what it wants to do. It is up to the media to filter false news," the 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivody' actor said.

Nani added that 'Jersey' is one of the most profitable ventures for its producer. "Theatrical revenue is not the only source of revenue. Non-theatricals were more for that movie. And then, it earned by way of remake rights, etc. I know the figures," Nani said.

Nani suggested that 'Ante Sundaraniki' is the only content film of his that didn't make profits.

'Hi Nanna', co-starring Mrunal Thakur, will hit the screens on December 7. It is produced by Vyra Entertainments and directed by Shouryuv.
