'Bhagavanth Kesari': Is Anil Ravipudi confused?

'Bhagavanth Kesari' is slated to hit the screens on October 19. In his latest interview, director Anil Ravipudi said that the action sequences in the film are larger-than-life yet realistic.

The very phrasing sounds muddled and even silly. If a fight scene is larger-than-life, it can't be realistic unless the filmmaker gives a specific definition of the phrase 'larger than life'. One hopes the director doesn't lack clarity.

Nandamuri Balakrishna's fights invariably attain gravity-defying features. In 'Bhagavanth Kesari', if Ravipudi is to be believed, this trap has been avoided consciously. "My style has always been loud. This time, I have changed my track. This film is not loud," the 'F2' director said, adding that emotional beats trump the irresistible urge for entertainment in the case of his latest film.

'Bhagavanth Kesari' is Ravipudi's 7th film. As per him, the Dasara release marks the beginning of a new innings in his filmography.

Co-starring Sree Leela and Arjun Ramphal, 'BK' has prominent parts for Kajal Aggarwal, Jaya Chitra and Sharath Babu.
