The Karnataka assembly elections are approaching and both the ruling BJP and opposition Congress are engaged in a fierce campaign. The JDS party is also crucial in South Karnataka. Several national survey organizations are collecting people's opinions to gauge the pulse of voters in the state.

The results of the ABC C voter survey have already shown that the Congress party is likely to win a significant victory. Another survey conducted by the Lok Pal organization, called 'Lok Poll 2.0', has shown that the number of seats won by the Congress party has increased significantly in the months of February and March.

The ruling BJP has lost more seats in March compared to February, and expectations that JDS would play a key role in the elections are also reversing. The upcoming Karnataka assembly elections are expected to be closely contested between the three parties.

The survey also highlights that Congress has been able to significantly increase its vote share when compared to a few months ago and BJP drubbing here will expel the saffron party from its only base in the South.

Lok Poll Survey Assembly Results

Congress – 128-131 seats

BJP     -   66-69 seats

JDS   -     21-25 seats
