Recently, an incident of an obscene advertisement being displayed on TV screens in Patna, Bihar had come to light which created a furore and now this has happened again in Bhagalpur railway station, Bihar. The porn videos reportedly appeared on the platform at around 10 pm on April 17 for more than 3 minutes and left passengers horrified.

Some commuters captured the clip with their cell phones, while others reported it to the authorities. As a result, the obscene broadcasts were immediately halted. Dhananjay Kumar, the DSP, and Ajay Kumar Choudhary, the Sub Divisional Officer, collected details of the incident and have assured to investigate the matter and take action against those responsible.

The Bhagalpur district administration also took immediate action and removed the display board message. Further investigation revealed that the Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation had awarded the contract to the Jeevan Jagruti Society for the beautification of the city, including the installation of LED display boards to raise awareness about traffic rules.

The society president, Ajay Kumar, claimed that the message was displayed due to hacking. An FIR has been registered against unknown individuals on the complaint of Dr. Ajay Kumar, President of Jeevan Jagruti Society. Kotwali Police Station SHO Jawahar Prasad Yadav stated that the incident is under investigation. Such incidents of obscene broadcasts on public TV screens are a matter of great concern and should be dealt with strictly. Authorities must take stringent measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
