The BJP in Andhra Pradesh cannot ignore the influence of Narendra Modi. Since coming to power in 2014, the Modi government has been neglecting the interests of Andhra Pradesh, which has resulted in people not being interested in the BJP. However, local leaders continue to support the central government. But this time, they may not get the chance to do so, as the privatization of Vizag Steel Factory will be seen as Modi's doing, and will have a strong impact on the upcoming elections.

Despite the government funding various schemes, the privatization of Vizag Steel Factory may not win the BJP any votes. The Modi government has already decided to privatize the PSU major, and the BJP's position in the state is already weak.

The privatization of the steel factory is unlikely to be well-received by the people. BJP leaders have been pushing Modi not to privatize Vizag Steel, but now that the process is underway, it seems unlikely to be reversed. This decision is sure to have a severe impact on the upcoming elections.

Even if the saffron party agrees that if the government allocates Rs.5,000 crores for the maintenance fund of the mines, the factory will survive for some time. However, the central government seems to be disregarding this idea.  The privatization of the steel factory could have a very negative effect on the BJP in tomorrow's elections.

The party's situation is already precarious, and adding privatization to the mix could make things worse. It remains to be seen whether BJP leaders will support the people of North Andhra or side with Modi. It seems likely that the BJP's chances in AP elections will be trampled by Modi, given the current situation.
