According to sources, the party has received a report that Bandi Sanjay, its party chief may be the reason for Munugodu defeat recently. The party seems to have come to an opinion that he is becoming more of a liability than an asset with his weak and incorrigible speeches and statements.
Moreover, Etela Rajender who is from the Mudiraj community is expected to become the next state chief of BJP since the party feels this is a crucial vote bank in the state and they can project him as the best leader to take on KCR. Sanjay may be given a crucial post at the centre and shunted out.
