Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha, who was in judicial custody, was sent to Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) custody by the Rouse Avenue court on Friday. The special court remanded her for three days of CBI custody till April 15, 2024.
Kavitha was arrested by Enforcement Directorate(ED) custody on 16 March 2024 and later sent to judicial custody. She was grilled by the ED for Ten days in Money laundering case pertaining to Delhi excise policy scam. Now the CBI grilled her in the same case which was registered by the CBI under prevention of corruption.
Kavitha who was in Tihar jail was arrested by the CBI in the Delhi liquor excise police scam on Thursday. Further the central agency sought five days custody of Kavitha. Consequently the court granted her custody to the CBI.
