The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested K Kavitha, who was already in judicial custody in the Tihar Jail on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Recently, the CBI questioned Kavitha after Delhi High court’s approval to investigate. It should be noted that Kavitha was arrested on March 15 with corruption charges related to the Delhi Liquor scam.
According to the reports, CBI has found key evidence to arrest Kavitha. It is also added that while she is likely to be in the Tihar Jail on Thursday, she would be produced before the court seeking for her remand. If this is approved by the court, then Kavitha will be taken to the lockup at the CBI headquarters and questioned by the officials there.
In this connection, even Delhi sitting Chief Minister Arvindh Kejriwal and others are also arrested and are placed in Tihar jail as of now.
