One of the pre-poll promises of the BRS party is the provision of KG to PG education for free in Telangana state. Now after a while, the promise seems to have been taken up, for the first time in Rajanna Sircilla district.
The government of Telangana has constructed an integrated campus at Gambhiraopet that offers free education right from Kindergarten to Post Graduation. This six-acre campus with a built-up area of 10000 square feet has modern amenities that cater to 3,500 students. The campus also houses an Anganwadi centre followed by pre-primary school, primary school as well as high school, junior college and a degree college.
This KG to PG campus has been built under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi programme of Telangana government. Industries and Information Technology Minister K. T. Rama Rao posted a tweet showing this latest achievement of their government. If it is taken up on a large-scale phase-wise it will change the face of education in the region.
