In politics, one has to wait with patience and persistence. Not every day is ours and on a rainy day, it would be wise to wait and watch for a sunny day. Those who are wise enough will outshine one or the other day. But Revanth Reddy seems to have hit a big self-goal that may completely decimate his chances.

Starting off his career with BJP, Revanth also spent some time with TRS before he finally won as an Independent and then joined TDP before 2009 elections. He is a firebrand leader but he feels he is the only one out there who is strong and capable and doesn’t give scope for others. In other words, you are either with him or against him. By misleading Chandrababu about TDP’s strength beyond what it can, the party faced rout .

The note-for-vote episode was Revanth’s heroic attempt to manage in the back stage that completely backfired. Left with no option, he switched over to Congress since the party had some cadre compared to the TDP. He then managed an alliance again with his former boss which dealt a death blow to the Congress in 2018 elections. He quickly showed his temper and firebrand nature and convinced Congress bosses that he is the right person for the PCC post.

It is clear that despite his show off as a leader who takes others on board, Revanth along with AICC in charge Manickam Tagore totally dominated the show which didn’t go well with senior leaders. Along with dissidents, even neutral leaders of T-Congress have now joined hands to bring him down. Any truce may be short lived and Revanth will not be allowed to function as normal again.

He cannot go to BJP since the party is already filled with CM Candidates. Even if he goes, it will be much more suffocating for him. He cannot come back to TDP. The only option is to float a separate party that may not have any impact in the intense political heat of Telangana. With his hubris and dominating attitude, Revanth may be practically left with no friends in Telangana except his small group of loyal supporters who sailed with him from TDP. His overconfident attitude and lack of experience may prove to be his biggest enemies.
