On Monday, addressing a public rally, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy hit back at the BRS and the BJP while defending his government's strength in the Assembly. With a BJP leader recently saying that, post Lok Sabha elections, the Congress government would be dislodged, Revanth turned angry.
"It appears that the BRS and the BJP are in cahoots with each other. Let me tell you that BRS MLAs who met me assured me to uphold the Congress government, which they say is heralding Indiramma Rajyam in the State. If I open the floodgates, all BRS MLAs with the exception of the members of the KCR family will join Congress," Revanth said.
His threat could be either real or psychological. If it is real, we will know the true loyalty of BRS MLAs after the LS election results this May. If the BRS puts up a flop show, the party will be weakened further. However, not all MLAs will join the BRS. Many of them will join the BJP, especially if the Modi government comes back to power with a thumping majority.
