As Telangana heads for the coming parliamentary elections, a lot was at stake for KCR and the entire BRS outfit to get over the defeat in the recent assembly election and revive the party with a good result in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
In accordance, KCR has announced that BRS is allying with BSP for the coming election and it was communicated to the public that these two parties will contest together in the coming polls. This happened after BSP Telangana chief RS Praveen Kumar met KCR today.
BRS and BSP will contest together in all 17 MP constituencies in the coming election and the parties will announce their joint plan of action in the days to follow.
Fundamentally, BSP doesn't have a strong footprint in Telangana but it has the potency to attract the backward classes and if used well, this could work well for BRS.
At a time when BRS is weakened due to the defeat in the assembly election, a lot depends on the coming Lok Sabha elections. Will this alliance work the trick for the two involved parties? We have to wait and watch.
