Megastar Chiranjeevi has been honoured with Padma Vibhushan. He will be conferred with the award later this year at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The second highest civilian honour has feted the legendary actor, making his colleagues and fans proud.
Taking to Twitter, celebrated director SS Rajamouli wrote, "From nowhere, a boy who laid the first stone for Punadhirallu to becoming the recipient of the second-highest civilian award in India… Your journey inspires generations Chiranjeevi Garu (sic)."
Jr NTR mentioned Venkaiah Naidu and Chiranjeevi, in that order, for the honour. "Also, congratulations to all the recipients of the Padma Awards. May your remarkable achievement inspire generations to come," the 'Devara' actor wrote.
Meanwhile, senior producer Dil Raju and Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy congratulated the 'Waltair Veerayya' actor by personally calling on him.
Taking to social media, several others from the Telugu film industry congratulated Chiru. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Natural Star Nani, Manchu Vishnu and others extended their congratulations.
