When AP was united, there was a prevalent opinion everywhere that the politicians of Telangana are very simple, not excessively rich or they don't show their wealth in an ostentatious manner and hence there was always a soft corner and respect for Telangana's leaders.
Regarding the high profile Delhi Excise Policy (liquor scam) case, it is known that the CBI has included the name of BRS MLC Kavitha in the charge-sheet and also claimed that Kavitha utilized almost ten mobile devices to execute the illegal deals.
Kavitha recently revealed that she indeed owned all the phones which she usually leaves with her cook, party workers, assistants, and others. Regarding the possession of a watch worth Rs. 20 lakhs, Kavitha stated that she purchased it herself, adding that people can earn money legally and also indulge in the luxuries they desire.
Many well wishers of BRS feel that KCR's family which was known for simplicity and a clean image during the agitation should do a course correction and be mindful of the public opinion. In Telangana, voters are wise enough and at a time when they are suffering due to price rise and inflation, any excessive wealth displayed by their rulers will send a wrong message to the people.
