K Chandrasekhar Rao, the name resonates with the very pulse of Telangana and he did the unthinkable when he was able to break Andhra Pradesh into two states and created an identity of self pride for the people of Telangana. It is eight years since this happened and now KCR has taken his vision to the next level.

With him setting up the BRS party and aiming to capture the fort at Delhi, speculations have begun making rounds whether he can become the Prime Minister. Many years ago, the great N T Rama Rao formed the National Front and many expected he would become the PM but that didn't happen. Later on, it was the master intellectual P V Narasimha Rao who became the first Telugu PM.

Cut to the present, KCR has rolled out a manifesto of sorts if BRS gets to power at Centre which involves free electricity to farmers, saving of LIC and Vizag Steel Plant from privatization, more sops for Dalits, making India as the food processing hub for the world etc. While the promises look alluring, there are several permutations and combinations that need to work. To top it all, KCR needs to achieve this in the 2024 elections itself.  Given his track record, many say he can and if he does it, he would become the second Telugu PM of India.
