BJP leader Annamalai says Kamal Haasan must visit a mental hospital

Tamil Nadu BJP state chief Annamalai has commented that Kamal Haasan must visit a mental hospital to get his head examined. His remarks were a reaction to the actor-politician recently stating that the Modi government, if voted back to power, will change India's capital from New Delhi to Nagpur (the city where the RSS headquarters is located).

Annamalai said that the 'Vikram' actor must visit a mental rehabilitation centre. His strong language, which is insensitive, has been roundly condemned by many, especially pro-DMK functionaries.

In a tweet, Javid Ahamed wrote, "Mark my words Mr. AnnamaLIE! Your arrogance will come to end on June 4 (the election results day)! You will be wiped out of politics or will end in jail. Learn to respect legends of Tamil Nadu. You declare yourself a proud Kannadiga."

"That was an outrageous and disgusting comment from Annamalai against a legend like Kamal Haasan sir. Looks like arrogance and overconfidence make someone speak like this. A comment should be replied with a proper reply and not through a personal attack," wrote G Dhananjeyan.

There are palpable attempts to whip up a frenzy against the BJP leader.
