Lok Sabha Polls: BJP releases fifth list, Kangana Ranaut secures spot

Bharatiya Janata Party released its fifth list of contesting candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, 2024. Actor Kangana Ranaut who has been vocal about several nationalistic and hindutva related issues in the past has now secured a spot with from Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh.

Some other candidates who secured positions include, Dr Sanjay Jaiswal from Paschim Champaran, Pallavi Shrinivas Dempo from South Goa, Naveen Jindal from Kurukshetra, Dr Rajeev Bharadwaj from Kangra, Dr K Sudhakar from Chikkballapur, Ram Satpute from Solapur, Vanlalhmuaka from Mizoram, Dharmendra Pradhan from Sambalpur among others.

The list comprised 111 candidates from various states, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Karnataka, among others. India would go for polls in different phases starting from April 19 to June 1, according to the official announcement by the Election Commission of India.
