Modi's viral tweet garners more than 8 million impressions!

Narendra Modi today called out those political commentators and Opposition leaders who have been trying to cope up with the BJP victories in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh by making all sorts of politically untenable analyses. In his tweet, the Prime Minister used emojis aplenty, something he has not done before. The tweet, at the time of writing this piece, garnered nearly 7.8 million impressions on Twitter.

"May they be happy with their arrogance, lies, pessimism and ignorance. But.. Beware of their divisive agenda. An old habit of 70 years can’t go away so easily. Also, such is the wisdom of the people that they have to be prepared for many more meltdowns ahead," Modi tweeted. (The emojis have been removed to enhance readability).

Many Twitter users replied to Modi saying that they had to double-check to know if the tweet was from the PM's personal account and not from some clone account. It is deemed extremely glib for someone of the PM's stature to use emojis to troll opponents. "Whoever handles this account for Modi should stick to its usual tone, which is more sober and dignified than this. The emoji proliferation and wording isn’t good in this one. Sure, it isn’t the official PM handle, but still- be combative, but classier," wrote Akshay Alladi, a Netizen.
