YCP promises ‘port-led development’ in the next term

Providing better infrastructural facilities in the state has become one of the key promises in the YSRCP manifesto that was released on Saturday by the party chief, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. In order to achieve this, the party has promised to focus more on port-led development.

Here is what the YCP manifesto promises in terms of infrastructure:

Focus on ‘Port-led development’ to generate more employment opportunities and create wealth resulting in the development of coastal regions. 4 ports, 10 fishing harbours, and 6 fish landing centres to be completed at an outlay of ₹20,000 Crore

Construction and maintenance of roads to receive dedicated attention

Special focus to ensure piped drinking water to every household

The Bhogapuram International Airport to be completed at an outlay of ₹4,592 Crore
