Another pre-poll survey by Poll Strategy Group predicted a decisive win for the YSRCP in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. It predicted that the YSRCP would gain upto 120-130 seats in the assembly pools and 19-21 in the Lok Sabha polls. Meanwhile, for the TDP, it was predicted that it would be limited to 45-55 in assembly and 4-6 in Lok Sabha seats.
Some other observations by the Poll Strategy group noted that the YSR Congress Party has taken a decisive lead over opposition in the last 2 weeks.
“Contrary to expectations, the delay in the election date has helped YSRCP gain momentum on ground - Women voters; especially in rural areas, are going to vote en masse for YSRCP. Opposition's wavering stand on Volunteer system & welfare schemes have added credibility and strength to YSRCP - YSRCP has significantly gained vote bank in the BC community, especially among the lower income groups. BJP joining the TDP-JSP alliance is helping YSRCP to further consolidate voter sections - In Godavari districts alone, YSRCP is winning an upwards of 16 upto 20 Assembly seats & a minimum of 3 Lok Sabha Seats,” according to the Poll Strategy Group.
