YSRCP general secretary, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy said that they are suspecting the usage of airgun in the stone pelting attack. “If a person directly threw a stone, it would not have hurt so badly, we think the attacker used an air gun. And this seems to be properly planned and executed and it is not a random guy throwing it,” said Sajjala. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was attacked by an unknown person through stone pelting, injuring his left eye on Saturday.
“Chandrbabu is also proactively making his statements in his speeches and further infuriating his cadre. And this attack seems to be murder attempt. Jagan doesn't have the necessity to act; his welfare measures speak for him,” said Sajjala, suspecting a murder attempt behind this attack.
Sajjala further criticized the opposition alliance of the Telugu Desam-Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata party for their insensitive remarks on the failure of security and their suspicion that this attack could be an act.
