Jagan endorses YSRCP MLA Candidate M Lavanya as ‘champion of weavers’

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, termed YSRCP MLA Candidate Murugudu Lavanya as ‘champion of weavers’ and vouched for ‘unyielding commitment’ towards the cause of the weavers community on Saturday 13, 2024. Earlier Jagan Mohan Reddy referred to her as his ‘sister’ and appealed to ensure her victory from Mangalgiri assembly constituency with a huge majority.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, mentioned that the YSRCP candidate from Mangalaigiri - Lavanya belongs to the Padmashali community. “She would champion the cause of weavers and fulfil all her duties as an elected representative without any discrimination or corruption,” assured Jagan.

Addressing the weavers community CM Jagan said “Chandrababu and his son Lokesh failed to represent Backward Classes (BCs) in Kuppam and Mangalagiri where BCs have a significant majority. He alleged that despite having a higher BC population in the state, Chandrababu did not offer enough seats to BCs. On the other hand, the YSRCP government had allotted a total of 100 out of 200 seats to the BC, SC, ST and Minorities which is a record in itself.”
