War on fake news and rumours goes up in Pithapuram assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh. A video started spreading to say that a van was caught with money and it was attributed to the YSRCP party candidate, Vanga Geetha. However, Geeetha says that its a fake video and is being rumoured with misleading statements.
“It was a material van, there was no money in it, but it was spreading as if money was caught in it. Do not create fake news and peddle it,” said Vanga Geetha.
She added that her cadre is asking to let them know where the money is, if at all it was caught. And she further said that “People believe us and Jagan Mohan Reddy garu for his governance. You(referring to Jana Sena) tell what you want to do for the public and we will tell you what we have in mind. Do not indulge in this kind of news.”
