It appears that there is political upheaval in the Visakhapatnam TDP party, with former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao becoming re-active in the party. However, there is debate about whether he will be accepted back into the party with the same respect, since he had stayed away from the party over the last four years.

At a recent party event, Ayyanna reportedly received more priority than Ganta, and Chandrababu, the party leader, stated that only those who have worked for the party for the last four years will be given tickets to contest in the upcoming elections. There are also rumors that Ganta may be given a ticket to contest as an MP rather than as an assembly member, potentially from the Anakapalli seat.

It is said that Ganta contested and won from this seat in 1999, and that he may be willing to contest from there again. If Ganta is fielded from this seat, it is expected that he will have significant support from the Kapus, who make up a large portion of the constituency.

It remains to be seen whether Ganta will agree to this proposal or what his strategies will be, and the extent of the truth in these rumors will be revealed soon. Additionally, it is said that if the TDP comes to power in the upcoming elections, ministerial positions will be given to new people from the joint Visakhapatnam district and if he is made an MP and sent away to Delhi, that will be seen as Babu's way of distancing Ganta from active state politics.
