The issue of the location of the capital city in Andhra Pradesh has become a sensitive matter, with the farmers and people in the Amaravati region fighting for it while the ruling YSRCP wants to have three capitals for the state. Recently, the political tension in the Amaravati region increased when BJP National Secretary Satya Kumar's car was attacked by unidentified men while he was standing in solidarity with the farmers.

According to reports, some people threw stones at his vehicle and raised slogans supporting three capitals, causing a stir in the region. The police intervened to control the situation and arrested the protesters.

Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, responded to the incident by stating that the ruling party had no connection to the attack, and that attacking others was not the party's style. He questioned why the party would attack the BJP leader and condemned the Amaravati protest as a planned one, led by a few real estate people with vested interests.

Sajjala also accused the Telugu Desam Party of having political motives for pushing for the capital city to be located in Amaravati, and claimed that Chandrababu Naidu was rallying people together to come back to power. He further alleged that they were trying to use the Amaravati protest for political gain.
