In Andhra Pradesh, the upcoming elections are getting more and more intense as the parties are trying to get the upper hand by making various claims. One of the major issues in these elections is the continuation of welfare schemes that were implemented by the current government.

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been warning people for quite some time about the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) alleged plan to scrap all the welfare schemes if they come to power. However, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh recently issued a statement promising the continuation of these schemes even after winning the elections.

Apart from welfare schemes, another issue in these elections is the fate of village and ward secretaries appointed by the current government. Lokesh has promised that if the TDP comes to power, they won't sack these secretaries just because they were recruited by the present regime. According to him, these secretaries are doing a great job, and the TDP acknowledges their contribution. Therefore, there's no reason for them to lose their jobs simply because the government changes.

Well, all said and done, if Jagan has done everything perfectly, the big question being asked then is what is all the fuss about Jagan pushing AP into the so-called debt trap!
