TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu may claim that his party will sweep polls the next time. The fact of the matter is TDP doesn't have strong candidates or in-charges in at least 80 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. In several places, it is looking for fence sitters and fence jumpers.
After creation of Nellore Rural segment in 2009, the party has never won here and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy won here twice, in 2014 and 2019 due to his pro-Jagan stance. Now TDP has no strong person here and is silently delighted at this prospective fence jumper from Jagan's party.
This shows the pitiful state of the party which feels it too can score more than 125 seats in the next elections. The party is on a weak wicket in most of the greater Rayalaseema region and Babu is aware, hence he is waiting eagerly if anyone from YCP wants to come out.
