There are media reports that a male passenger on board an American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi had allegedly urinated on a fellow passenger while in a drunken state. The incident occurred on flight number AA292, which departed New York on Friday at 9:16 pm and arrived at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport on Saturday at 10:12 pm after a 14-hour and 26-minute flight.

According to sources, the accused was a student at a US university who had been drinking heavily and accidentally urinated on the sleeping passenger next to him. The victim initially did not wish to report the incident to the police, as the student had apologized and the victim did not want to jeopardize his career. However, the airline reported the incident to the Air Traffic Control at the Delhi airport.

The flight crew informed the pilot of the incident, who then reported it to the ATC, leading to the CISF personnel handing over the accused passenger to the Delhi Police upon landing.

The Delhi Police are currently recording statements from those involved. Under the Civil Aviation Rules, a passenger found guilty of unruly behavior can face criminal charges and be banned from flying for a certain period, depending on the severity of the offence.
