The US Consulate General in Hyderabad has been providing visa and consular services to applicants for a long time. In order to offer better facilities, the consulate has now shifted to a new dedicated building in the Nanakramguda area of Hyderabad. The new state-of-the-art building has been constructed at a cost of $340 million. Visa interviews on or after March 28 will now take place at this new consulate.

The Consulate has been functioning from the Begumpet facility, which will cease its services from noon on March 15 until March 20. The new consulate will commence its services from March 20. The US Consulate announced the change on Twitter and provided an emergency number for those in need.

However, the services of the Visa Applicant Service centers will not be impacted by the move to the new facility. The consulate has urged all aspirants to take note of the change and be aware of the new location.
