The Montgomery police department recently apprehended an individual in relation to a recent murder case that took place in the city.
The victim, a 25-year-old Montgomery resident named Akhil Sai Mahankali, was discovered with a critical gunshot wound on Sunday evening in the 3200 block of Eastern Blvd.
Despite receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital, he tragically passed away. The suspect, Raviteja Goli, who is 23 years old and also a resident of Montgomery, was taken into custody on the scene and charged with manslaughter. He is currently in police custody at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
