'Mirzapur Season 3' is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Since the 'Mirzapur' series enjoys immense popularity, the hype was unreal. However, most film critics are not impressed.
Firstly, what is the premise? "Guddu bhaiya (played by Ali Fazal) and Golu (played by Shweta Tripathi Sharma) are depicted reveling in their newfound power after seizing control of the Mirzapur throne. Meanwhile, Kaleen bhaiya (played by Pankaj Tripathi) is shown mourning the loss of his son, Munna (played by Divyenndu)," mentions Livemint.
"The novelty factor has now worn off, and we really need a humdinger season 4 to get us back on track," wrote Indian Express in its review. The show is headlined by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rajesh Tailang, and others.
"The show falters in many places, from a weak storyline, and too many main characters to predictable high points. At the same time, it manages to charm with exceptional performances and an engaging first half," Hindustan Times opined.
The series also features Vijay Varma, Anjum Sharma, Isha Talwar, Manu Rishi Chaddha, and many others. It is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer.
