Interview: 'Sabari' producer Mahendra Nath Kondla

Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's female-driven film 'Sabari' is slated to hit the screens on May 3. Directed by Anil Katz, the film is a multi-lingual release. In his latest interview, debutant producer Mahendra Nath Kondla has spoken of its highlights.

"The film has a strong mother-daughter emotion and the emotional core is compelling. I believe that the story has limitless potential and the better we produce and enhance it, the more it will appear to the audience. That is exactly what we did and we are hopeful that you all will love our film," he said.

But wasn't he nervous about doing his very debut film as a pan-Indian one? "It was a bit risky at first but right from the outset, I had a risk-taking attitude. My motto is that one can progress in their respective fields only if they take sufficient risks and that is how Sabari happened to me. We made the film with truest intentions and hope that it caters to you all," he reasons.

The producer is confident that the film's action sequences will be a stand-out feature. "The action part is channeled by the story and the emotional crux of the film. The action will be brilliantly blended with the main narrative and it will keep you on the edge of your seats," he adds.
