Vishnu Manchu became the President of the Movie Artist Association in 2021. At a time when his term is coming to an end, he has been unanimously re-elected to the office. A general body meeting (attended by as many as 400 members) of the MAA was held on Sunday. On the occasion, it was unanimously agreed upon that the current leadership will continue to serve until the completion of the MAA building project, which is an ongoing project.
At the meeting, many "pressing matters" were deliberated upon. The issue of elections scheduled to be held in the month of May also came up for discussion. Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming vote of confidence, Vishnu Manchu conveyed his "heartfelt appreciation" to the members who reposed faith in his leadership. "He acknowledged the responsibility entrusted to him and his panel, pledging to redouble their efforts for the betterment and welfare of all members," a source said.
It is ideal that a body like MAA sees an amiable atmosphere so that there are no hiccups. The welfare of its hundreds of members will also be smooth that way.
Meanwhile, MAA is gearing up for a grand fundraising event slated to be held in July. It is an international event to be held in Malaysia.
