Jagapathi Babu says he made wrong decisions after 'Legend'

Nandamuri Balarishna's 'Legend' changed the career graph of Jagapathi Babu - mostly for the better. However, the actor has some complaints over what transpired in his career after the release of the movie. And he says he has only himself to blame for the hiccups.

"When 'Legend' came my way, I was desperate for offers. While the makers of the film wondered if I would be willing to play an anti-hero, I was like 'Give me some or the other offer first!'. After the release of the movie, I should have been careful and made wise choices. Many films I did were misfires. Some films were done by me only for money. Had I been careful, many more good films and characters would have been there in my filmography. I have done about 80-90 films since 'Legend', out of which only 5-6 are remembered by the audience. 'Srimanthudu', 'Rangasthalam' and 'Aravindha Sametha' are among them," Jagapathi said.

In the last 3-4 years, Jagapathi has slowed down enormously. Prabhas' 'Salaar' is a film he had big bets on. His performance in the film was loved by the audience. The recent 'Guntur Kaaram' didn't fetch him anything. 'Rudrangi', which had him in a beastly character, was a huge flop.
