'Kaliyugam Pattanamlo': Title track is profound, poignant

'Kaliyugam Pattanamlo’, written and directed by Ramakhanth Reddy, stars Vishwa Karthikeya and Ayushi Patel in the lead roles. The film will hit the screens soon.

On Friday, its title track was released. Since Kaliyugam is synonymous with vice, distress, despair and disgrace, Chandra Bose's lyrics capture the cynical reality with a poignant touch. The Oscar Award winner makes the best use of the context to write a song steeped in literature and philosophy. Ajay Arasada's music is racy, while Vijay Prakash's crooning is effective.

While the song gives the impression that the film is going to feature neo-noir elements, the climax could be optimistic. The makers are yet to release the film's trailer.

The film also features Chitra Shukla, Narain Rama, Rupa Lakshmi, Devi Prasad, and Anish Kuruvilla. Nani Movie Works and Raamaa Creations have produced it. Dr Kandula Chandra Obul Reddy, Gaddam Maheswara Reddy, and Katam Ramesh have produced the movie. Charan Madhavaneni is its cinematographer. Edited by Garry BH, its dance choreography is by Moin Master.
