Interview: 'Record Break' actor Nihaar Kapoor

The makers of 'Record Break' have been emphasizing on the emotional core of their film. Directed by senior filmmaker Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, the multi-lingual pan-Indian outing is a March 8th release. Fronted by Jayasudha's son and 'Gangster Gangaraju' actor Nihaar Kapoor, the film also features Raghda Iftekhar and Satya Krishna in prominent roles.

In his latest interview, Nihaar sounds assertive and satisfied. On the one hand, he says that the film's wrestling backdrop and the rags-to-riches stories of twins who go on to represent India in the WWE competition make it a unique action entertainer. On the other hand, he is glad that his mother, Jayasudha, loved the film's trailer. "She can't wait to watch my movie soon," Nihaar says.

The film, co-starring Chalapati Rao, Sanjana, Tummala Prasanna Kumar, Santhi Tiwari, Soniya, and Kasi Viswanath, blends themes such as betrayal, greed and an ever-lasting friendship. Nihaar suggests that it is the story and his characterization that kept him hooked. "I liked how the director churned wholesome elements in telling the emotional tale of two orphans. The sensibilities are different from those of 'Dangal' (Hindi)," Nihaar says.

Having already promoted the movie in Kannada and Tamil, Nihaar is looking forward to doing so in Malayalam and Odia as well. In all, 'Record Break' will be out in eight languages.

Nihaar wants to expand his horizons by becoming a filmmaker in the future. He has completed a direction course and is fond of both OTT and the feature film format.
