Producer KK Radhamohan talks about the highlights of 'Bhimaa'

Sri Sathya Sai Arts's KK Radhamohan has produced movies such as 'Bengal Tiger', the OTT hits 'Odela Railway Station' and 'Orey Bujjiga', among others. Ostensibly, 'Bhimaa' is his most expensive film ever. The Gopichand-starring action entertainer hits the screens this March 8.

"The Maha Shivaratri release is auspicious. The story is set in the Parashurama Kshetras in coastal Karnataka. The hero's characterization is a stand-out feature. Director A Harsha's treatment makes 'Bhimaa' a different action entertainer," Radhamohan says. Malvika Sharma may be an eye candy in the film, but Priya Bhavani Shankar's character is going to pack a punch.

The producer suggests that 'Bhimaa' did cost a bomb. "It is a miracle if the budget of a film doesn't shoot up. The only question is whether it is 30%, 40% or 50%. 'Bengal Tiger', which I made in 2015, had a budget of Rs 32 crore. 'Bhimaa' has been made nine years later. Naturally, there is inflation involved and the budget is high," Radhamohan reasons.

Ravi Basrur's background score and the fights that play out in the final half an hour of the film are going to be rousing. "I have watched the final stretches three times so far. Every time I think about those portions, I am left with amazement. The audience will experience goosebumps when they watch our movie on the big screen. The VFX and the larger-than-life action make this film worthy of being watched only in theatres," the producer says.

Thanks to the enthusiasm shown by distributors from the Telugu States and Karnataka, 'Bhimaa' is up for a huge domestic release, the producer says.
