'Tantra' will create a resounding response: Makers @ Trailer event

'Tantra', starring Ananya Nagalla and Dhanush Raghumudri as a romantic pair, will be a March 15th release. Its Trailer was released at an event in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, Ananya said that roles that satisfy her artistic cravings are important to her. "It's extremely rare that a female actor gets to do a role like the one in 'Tantra'. I have been identified by 'Vakeel Saab' and 'Mallesham'. After the release of 'Tantra', I will be called 'Tantra' Ananya'. This is not a small film by any reckoning. After its theatrical release, the response is going to be resounding," she added.

The makers thanked the media for spreading a positive vibe about 'Tantra'. Director Srinivas Gopishetty said that he comes from a media background. "We have abandoned our traditional wisdom. When the British saw India as a land of snake charmers, we played along. One of the great sources of wisdom we have ignored is the Tantric Shastra, which is a treasure trove. We can use the Shastra for our evolution. However, it has been misused for negative purposes. If our thinking is evil, the Tantric ritual acquires a negative quality. Our film throws light on the Tantra and its potential. But the film is not only about Tantric secrets. 'Tantra' is an emotional story with a love story and a mother sentiment," he elaborated.

The trailer says that a former Chief Minister used Tantric puja. The director refused to name the CM and merely said that it was written about by a news daily many years ago.

The film, co-starring Saloni, Temper Vamsi and Meesala Laxman, is produced by Naresh Babu P and Ravi Chaitanya of First Copy Movies and B The Way Films. Kushalini, Manoj Mutyam, and Sarath Barigela will also be seen in the movie.
